What an incredible journey it has been! It’s hard to believe a year has passed since our program began, and today we are thrilled to officially launch our new website. This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our volunteer admin staff.
Our mission started with a simple drive to help our community become better prepared for emergencies and disasters. Over the past year, we’ve made significant progress:
- Training: We hosted two hybrid training sessions that brought some great team members into our fold.
- Collaboration: We worked closely with our EMA partners to enhance regional readiness.
- Resources: Thanks to grant money provided to Volunteer Tennessee, we were instrumental in outfitting three trailers designed for training and disaster response, which have now been dispersed to Tennessee’s three grand divisions.
Please browse through our new site to learn more about what the CERT program is all about. Our goal is to equip as many citizens in the Upper Cumberland area and beyond with the knowledge and skills to help themselves and others when an emergency strikes.
